Glencar Lough and Waterfall, Co. Leitrim
Glencar Waterfall is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Ireland, standing at 50ft high and located in the beautiful Glencar Lough. Best time to visit here is obviously after a heavy spell of rain.
Mahon Falls, Co. Waterford
This area provides breathtaking sights in the most tranquil of settings. You can also experience so-called Magic Road. Your car will travel up the hill when on neutral!
Powerscourt Waterfall, Co. Wicklow
At a height of 121m, it is the highest waterfall in Ireland. The 7th Viscount Powerscourt established a deer park here and in 1858 successfully introduced the Japanese Sikka deer to Ireland. You can see the waterfall in the movie Braveheart.
Torc Waterfall, Co. Kerry
The waterfall is about 25m high and the Owengarriff River which feeds it rises in The Devil's Punchbowl on nearby Mangerton Mountain.
